To to continue to offer an exciting and complete assortment for its teen and young adult customers, JC Penney Company, Inc. announced the launch of private brand Decree in Juniors as well as exclusive brand American Living and national brand in Youth Whitetag.
Brand launches are an integral part of the company's strong assortment targeting adolescents which also includes a new lifestyle merchandising initiative in its Juniors department and an enhanced store environment. As the department store No. 1 for teens at the mall, this strategy extends JCPenney's leadership position and creates an opportunity to further capture the loyalty of the most demanding, however, increasingly influential customers - teens.

Decree - a new private label for All-American Juniors
This return-to-School season JCPenney will launch a new private brand Decree, adding the lifestyle offered by the company in Juniors. This release is based on the recent announcement of national brand Le Tigre - now available at JCPenney - and exclusive brand Fabulosity - also available to Juniors this season return school.
Designed, developed and originated in the house, Decree will offer sophisticated apparel, accessories and footwear for teens and young adults Women. The All-American inspired brand will be premium denim driven, providing JCPenney's younger customers on-trend, relevant and authentic styles with quality superior and fit all at a smart price.
Exciting new brands in the Young Men's
Young men's department will also add two exciting new brands just in time for back-to-school. American Living for Young Men, an exclusive brand developed by Global Brand Concepts, a division of Polo Ralph Lauren, will feature premium denim, signature poles, tees and fleece in classic, traditional style. Joining level of the best young men of national brands is Whitetag, an "urban rock" inspired collection. With a focus on premium denim brand will offer trend-driven art teas, woven shirts and fleece jackets issue. Denim Collection is showcasing the latest adjustments and higher quality finishes and committed attention to detail.
Lifestyle Merchandising Initiative of
To ensure the company continues to offer its customers merchandise that inspires, JCPenney is focused on delivering the styles that reflect a wide range preferences of their customers lifestyle through a marketing initiative lifestyle that focuses on four lifestyles: conservative, traditional, modern and fashionable. Building on the success of this marketing initiative lifestyle of women and men's clothing departments, JCPenney is bringing merchandising lifestyle to its Juniors department, focusing on lifestyle Juniors after four categories:
- All-American --
Lifestyle more Juniors large, "All-American" is driven by denim, fashion fabrics, wool sweaters. Includes brands such as The Original Arizona Jean Company, Levi's, Flirtitude, C7P, A Chip and Pepper Production, Le Tigre and will include a new private brand Decree.
- Fast track --
This lifestyle consists of fashionable denim and impressions conversation. Includes brands such as Fang, Underground Soul, Self Esteem and Vigoss.
- Dressy / Going Out --
This lifestyle targets JCPenney work / event wear apparel category with separates for special occasions. Includes brands such as B Wear, Tracy Evans, Heart and Soul and Star City.
-Urban --
This lifestyle is in fashion, hip hop styles. Includes Southpole and the recently announced Fabulosity by Kimora Lee Simmons.
Improving the Store Environment:
Along with marketing exciting and attractive target a teenage audience, customers visiting the departments Juniors and Young Men's is back to school season can expect improvements store environment as new accessories and graphics, the mannequins in the front of the departments that showcase new styles and show customers how to use the looks, and in select music stores most renowned artists of today will be played in the Juniors and Youth departments. In addition, new outside JCPenney the mall format stores will have the services of the new costumes designed with flat screen televisions and sitting areas.
